THE METHOD

Read people. Recognise character precisely.

Scientific Face Reading reads the other person’s muscle tone in the jaw, eyes and mouth as a map of character.

You do not simply memorise 24 character traits. Through muscle tone and mirror neurons, you train to perceive their differences physically.

The other person’s muscle tone

You read the jaw, eyes and mouth as a precise map of character.

A clear vocabulary

You build the map of character one trait at a time.

Mirror neurons

Observation and physical mirroring train your ability to perceive these traits.

FACE READING READS THE OTHER PERSON’S MUSCLE TONE. SEPARATELY, SHORTS TRAIN YOUR OWN MUSCLE TONE AND YOUR OWN BODILY RESPONSE.

Muscle tone is the map of character.

HOW READING FACES WORKS

You can already see it. You have simply never learnt where to look.

You do not learn to guess facial expressions. You learn to see what has been clearly in front of you all along: the muscle tone in the jaw, eyes and mouth — and the character traits visible within it.

It is so clearly visible. Why have I never noticed it before?

Blue-and-white anatomical illustration of the muscles in the face, around the eyes, in the jaw and in the neck.
The face, eye area and jaw comprise a dense system of muscles. Scientific Face Reading reads its tone — not a fleeting movement.

WHAT IS ACTUALLY IN FRONT OF YOU

A visible system of muscles that you have simply perceived as a ‘face’ until now.

Without the skin, you can see how many muscles contribute to your impression of a person. Even a resting face carries muscle tone. That is where perception begins.

AROUND 30

Muscles on each side of the face

Depending on how they are counted anatomically, around 30 muscles work on each side of the face.

6

Muscles move each eyeball

The extraocular muscles lie within the eye socket and move the eyeball. Even the gaze is carried by muscles.

TONE

Movement is not what matters

Scientific Face Reading directs your attention to the existing muscle tone — even when the face appears still.

YOUR BODY CAN ALREADY DO IT

You have always responded to muscle tone. Usually without knowing what you are responding to.

The method turns this spontaneous physical resonance into a perception you can consciously train.

THE LEMON PRINCIPLE

You see the bite. Your mouth responds.

When you watch someone bite into a lemon, your mouth may begin to water. Your body mirrors what it sees.

Seeing triggers physical mirroring.

THE SPONTANEOUS EFFECT

You sense a person before you can explain them.

Someone who appears arrogant may make you question yourself immediately — before you can consciously name what you perceived in their face.

The tone has an effect before you have words for it.

THE CLEAR CONTRADICTION

The words tell one story. The tone does not fit.

When reading lies, this contradiction often becomes particularly clear. You examine muscle tone, words, voice and body together.

Reading lies begins where words and tone give different answers.

HOW THIS BECOMES AN ABILITY

Four steps instead of guesswork.

Images, physical mirroring and the scientific and perceptual-biological background work together in the training.

01

See

You learn where the clearly visible muscle tone sits in the jaw, eyes and mouth.

02

Mirror physically

You reproduce the observed tone physically in a specific way, making its effect consciously perceptible.

03

Distinguish

You compare recurring patterns until similar character traits become unambiguously distinct.

04

Read precisely

You connect the traits into a coherent map of character.

DEVELOPED OVER YEARS · LEARNABLE IN 14 WEEKS

What feels like intuition today becomes an accurate perceptual ability in around three months.

You train for 30 to 60 minutes a day. During the training, the meanings of the visible tone patterns are revealed step by step — image by image, trait by trait.

WHY SCIENTIFIC IS MORE THAN A NAME

Observation becomes a precise map of character.

Magdalena Bischof developed Scientific Face Reading over many years: observing muscle tone, comparing differences, checking meanings and correcting assumptions. Thousands of assessments and conversations produced a teachable method. In the training, it gives you access to 24 character traits. Reading people is therefore no longer merely an extraordinary talent. Perception can be built, compared and trained step by step.

Suddenly, you no longer see just an expression in a face. You recognise a coherent map of character.

Observe

Learn to see clear differences. You learn to perceive where and how muscle tone appears in the jaw, eyes and mouth.

Compare

Perception becomes certainty. You compare recurring patterns until you can clearly distinguish similar traits.

Read precisely

You connect the individual differences into a coherent map of character and compare the overall picture with words, voice and body.

PRECISION NEEDS CONTEXT

The first expression does not decide. What you examine does.

Notice the effect

A glance or smile has an immediate effect, but on its own it is not a statement about character.

Examine the overall picture

You compare muscle tone, words, voice and body.

Act responsibly

Precise reading helps you make fewer assumptions and respond more appropriately.

GO DEEPER · YOUR OWN REFLEX

Recognise and train your own Stone Age reflex

A visible mask or first impression can trigger a rapid alarm in you. In the quiz and the Short Trainings, you recognise and train your own muscle tone, your Stone Age reflex and your bodily response. This is a different subject from Face Reading, which reads the other person’s muscle tone.

GO DEEPER · BRAIN CONFLICT

Why knowledge and bodily response can diverge

The Olympus Method turns this brain conflict into a memorable world of the brain. Hermes represents your fact-checker. It shows why your own alarm can drown out the facts — Olympus is not the Face Reading ability itself.
